Guide
Barcode ScannerA practical reference covering what our scanner is, how it works, supported formats, usage tips, and answers to the most common questions.
Overview
A barcode scanner is a tool that reads the pattern of lines (or squares) printed on a product and translates it into a human-readable string — typically a product ID, serial number, or URL.
Our online barcode scanner runs entirely in your browser. There's no app to install and nothing is uploaded to a server. You simply point your camera at a barcode — or upload an image — and the result appears instantly.
It handles both 1D barcodes (the familiar vertical stripe codes on groceries and parcels) and 2D barcodes (compact matrix codes like QR and Data Matrix used in logistics, ticketing, and marketing).
