What is an image cropping tool?

An image cropping tool lets you select a rectangular region of a photo and discard everything outside it. Think of it as a pair of digital scissors: you frame exactly the part of the image you want to keep, and the rest is removed.

This is one of the most fundamental operations in image editing — used by photographers to improve composition, by developers to prepare assets for web or app interfaces, and by anyone who needs to remove an unwanted background, centre a subject, or match a specific dimension required by a platform.

Features

Pixel-precise cropping

Enter exact Width, Height, X and Y values to cut out a region down to the pixel — no guesswork.

Aspect ratio lock

Choose Free Form, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 3:2 or 9:16 Portrait and the selection snaps to the right proportions automatically.

Drag-and-draw selection

Click and drag directly on the image to draw a crop area. Eight handles let you nudge any edge or corner after placing it.

Multi-image queue

Upload several photos at once and switch between them without leaving the page.

Instant PNG download

Cropped images are processed entirely in your browser and downloaded as lossless PNG files in one click.

100 % private

Your images never leave your device. Everything runs client-side — no uploads, no server, no account needed.
