The day counter allows you to easily calculate the number of days between two dates.

It instantly answers how many days are left until a project deadline, a specific event, or an important milestone – for example, a 90-day meditation or fitness goal.

How to use the day counter?

  • Step 1: Add the Start date. Set the date from which the calculation will start.
  • Step 2: Add the End date. Provide the date the calculation will end.
  • Step 3: Calculate. Click this button to make the calculation.

Note: The end date is not included in the calculation.

 
What needs the day counter can help with?

There are several ways you can use the day counter:

  1. Counting the days from today till a specific event.
  2. Counting the days from a specific event until today
  3. Counting the days between two dates.

   

How many days between dates? 

Let’s say you have a project review on September 16, 2024, and today is August 29. You want to know how many days are between these dates. How do you count the number manually?

  1. Identify the remaining number of days in August. You know that August has 31 days, and 31 – 29 = 2 days remaining in August.
  2. Identify the number of days from September till the event. The event takes place on September 16, so there are 16 days in September.
  3. Sum up the days in the specified period: 2 days in August + 16 in September = 18 days until the project review.

If you also have an internal project meeting 7 days before the project review, subtract 7 days from the end date. In this way, September 16 – 7 = September 9.
