Overview

What is a PDF merge tool?

A PDF merge tool combines two or more separate PDF files into a single, continuous document. Instead of sending a bundle of attachments or juggling multiple files, you end up with one clean file that preserves every page, font, image, and layout from the originals — in exactly the order you choose.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded anywhere, so sensitive documents stay on your device from start to finish.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Combining related files into a single PDF keeps everything in one place — easier to share, easier to print, and easier for recipients to navigate. It's especially handy for contracts with attachments, multi-chapter documents, or report packs that need to travel together.

Pages appear in exactly the order you arrange the file cards in step 2. The first card's pages come first, followed by the second, and so on. You can drag cards, use the A–Z / Z–A buttons, or nudge individual cards with the arrow buttons to get the order exactly right before merging.

Yes. The tool uses pdf-lib's page-copy mechanism, which transfers each page as-is — including fonts, images, vector graphics, and layout — without re-rendering or reformatting anything.

Completely. Pages are copied directly from the source files, so there is no re-compression, re-encoding, or quality loss of any kind. The merged file is bit-for-bit equivalent to the originals page-by-page.

It works in any modern browser that supports the File API and WebAssembly — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop and mobile. No app install or plugin is required.

Your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser using pdf-lib and PDF.js, two well-established open-source libraries. No file data is sent to any server, logged, or stored.
