  2. Calculate the number of weeks by dividing the number by 7 and decimal, as there are 7 days in a week.
  3. Separate the figures after the decimal point & convert them to days by multiplying by 7
  4. The answer is the number of weeks and the remainder days.

 

How to calculate the number of weeks between dates?

To make this calculation more concrete, let’s use a real example of calculating the number of weeks between dates.

We want to calculate the number of weeks between April 6 and August 1 needed for the professional training of an employee:

  1. We’ve counted the number of days between the two dates as being 117 days.
  2. We divide 117/47= 16.714 weeks. This means we get 16 weeks and 0.714 of a week
  3. We multiply 0.714 x 7 to get the rest of the days = 5 days.
  4. The number of weeks between April 6 and August 1 is 16 weeks and 5 days.
